Garlinghouse Doesn’t see the Majority of Cryptocurrencies Surviving in the Future

Brad Garlinghouse, the Ripple CEO has predicted that 99% of all cryptocurrencies will likely go to zero in the future.

Garlinghouse made the claim in a new interview with Bloomberg, saying that there are too many cryptocurrencies in the space, predicting that only a percent of all crypto is going to be sticking around.

As per CoinTelegraph:

“That small number of crypto projects will be game-changing and grow significantly in the decades since they will be focused on solving real problems for real customers, Ripple CEO declared.”

Garlinghouse further said that the growing volume of cryptocurrencies is mainly triggered through the massive hype around the crypto ecosystem.

Before we go any further though, it’s worth saying that we aren’t financial investors and this isn’t financial advice. Please do your own research before putting your money in a cryptocurrency and always remember to trade safe!

On top of this, he said that there are significantly more than three thousand digital assets that trade on a day to day basis to date. Garlinghouse hinted that very few will actually be able to meet their customer needs, arguing that the vast majority of them “probably goes to zero.”

“Anytime there is a new market, there are a lot of people that run into that market and try to show that they can solve a problem, they can deliver a customer need.”

It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out. For more news on this and other crypto updates, keep it with CryptoDaily!
